Camping was one of the events ove the weekend where each participants participated in games. The games aimed at teaching self confident, trust, encouragement.

Exchanges took place between the Rwandan Youth and Washington State University and the African Chamber of Commerce. Visits to Pogo and Microsft were also helpful.

Thursday the 17th August is another day gone,

The first part of it was a video conferencing between the four Rwandan Students and the four students from Oaksdale School, Eastern Washington. The two groups were around 70 km away from each other. Students shared a lot on their respective countries especially on the education system. contact person: Mrs Lisa Holmes

Then we met a group of staff from the Educational Service District (ESD) led by Dalton W. Bly, the Director of Information Technology with whom we exchanged idea on technologies in our respective counties. contact person : Mr Dalton W. Bly, dbly@esd101.net

Then came a tour in the ESD's studio led by Tom kessler, tkessler@esd101.net; the main purpose of the studio is educational. Ann Charles also explained how the studio products are used to educate kids and adult under detention.

The afternoon was mainly used for html coding, photo editing and publishing on the web.

The journey to from Kigali is long and tiresome, but now students and I are fine. I am glad they are working hard to learn and looking forward to seeing them teaching their classmates what they are learning.
